Absolutely. Although I've loved it from the moment it was released, it means more to me now than it did then...maybe that's because I'm 10 years older now as well???

I know it, it is such a great album and i think it's reflective atmosphere really gives it that timeless quality.

the title of this thread should probably be edited to say "Bloodflowers" instead of "Bloodlowers"

The 2000 tour was the only album tour I missed since 1984, unfortunate. My copy of Bloodflowers is now hanging on my bedroom wall, behind me. It got bent trying to remove it from a cd rom drive, and now I can only rip the first 5 or 6 songs and its staticky at the start of Out OF This World..... I have to buy a new copy when I can. For now I just listen to Trilogy when I need my Bloodflowers fix. It is a beautiful album. I remember the first time I heard Maybe Someday on the radio. It was the first time I ever heard it. That is the style of Cure I like to hear on the radio, not the silly, poppy hits that are played to death. A perfect single.

The idea of celebrating the tenth anniversary of Bloodflowers is amazing. And done so well. Thank you cureconnections, it seems you really know how to please the cure communities!

i won't lie, i really like the silly poppy hits :P

i prefer my atmospheric cure for time at home. i like to listen to albums like bloodflowers, disintegration, etc, in full from start to finish, at home. songs like just like heaven and friday i'm in love and mint car are perfect for getting me through the day at work when the come on

but anyway, since this is the bloodflowers thread..
maybe someday is a good mix of melody and something a little deeper - i love it

But the Dream tour was really extraordinary!
I agree completely with Headbanger. No one but diehard Cure fans have ever heard of the album. It was dull and lifeless, love poetry set to music. Robert said on the liner notes to "play it loud", but after my first listen, I heard nothing I wanted to play again. I shelved it for a long time.

Until Cureconnections showed me what the songs from the tour sounded like. Here, at last, Bloodflowers came alive! Out of this world, indeed.

"Watching Me Fall" is magnificent in the concert versions, Robert's voice soars with every performance. It's too bad that music isn't allowed patches and second releases like computer software. If so, Bloodflowers 2.0 might have been a hit with the public over the tepid album.

Speaking of Cureconnections, I recommended it to someone at work who is a Cure fan. I didn't know any other fans existed within 200 kilometers of me!
