I haven´t seen many videos (in fact, any!) of guys playing along to a song recorded by Jason in YouTube or other video services sites.

But there are a bunch of guys who have uploaded their videos playing some Boris songs. Does it mean Boris patterns are more enjoyable to play than Jason´s?

maybe this has been said before in this thread, but....whoever posted that video about Jasons playing in A Forest knows NOTHING about drumming.
Guys and girls, in the video-clip Jason is not hitting a china-cymbal. He is playing his RIGHT hi-hat. He has ( like Boris) one on the right side and one on the left side (the left being the "normal" one"). It dosen`t ring as loud as a china cymbal - so of course you can`t hear it on a bootleg.
Boris was great, Jason has his strenghts in other ways. The discussion is interesting, but if people knows nothing about drumming it is only down to subjective viewpoints and sentimatalities. That may be ok, but impossible to discuss in a serious manner...

I have voted for Jason in spite of I like more Boris's style of drumming.
so you ask, why did I vote for Jason ;)
well, I play drums and the question is who is better drummer and I think that Jason is really good drummer, technically better, his playing is more creative.
But.. if you would ask who is better for The Cure I would say that Boris, not only the sound but his appearance and personality fit for this band perfectly.
But there must be some reason why Bob keeps Jason such a long time ;) and I think the reason is clear - Jason is very good drummer

Jason is fit for the musical direction The Cure are following.

Although I prefer Boris' drumming 'cos he added more dynamics.

Boris, of course. I heard some The Cure performances of "late period" and Jason's playing doesn't make me hanging on. His one is weak in comparison with Boris's one. Who took Jason to the group? If Robert did, I'll be really surprised.
