The official track list to the soundtrack of Tim Burton’s Johnny Depp-starring Alice in Wonderland just hit the Internets via the same people that dropped the New Moon soundtrack deets: MySpace. And though there aren’t too many surprises therein (Avril Lavigne’s new song “Alice (Underground),” Wolfmother’s “Fell Down a Hole,” etc.), one name jumped out at me…
The Cure’s Robert Smith has contributed a cover of Kathryn Beaumont’s “Very Good Advice” from Disney’s original animated version of Alice in Wonderland. Kind of exciting, no?

Humm...first time we have Robert Smith instead of The Cure, no?.. Is this the approach for that ultimate solo album..?
'Pirate ships' is Robert solo...
and the new version of 'Pictures of you' (PaulMac remix) indicated as a Robert Smith track on the ONE PERFECT DAY o.s.t. CD.
well i won't lie, i hate alice in wonderland. such a creepy movie! in my opinion.
but i look forward to hearing something new in robert's voice!
and also, i think that "robert smith" could be a contractual thing, perhaps. read that somewhere else, and it seems reasonable. although he's probably thrilled to use his own name, he always wants that solo material so bad :P

Yes
A Tim Burton film, starring Johhny Depp with RS on the soundtrack - sounds brilliant to me ..and I'm thinking we may get something a little different to the original...
Thanks pussycat

Alice in Wonderland used to be my favourite story as a child and also my favourite cartoon. I have a feeling Tim Burton will ruin the whole point of it. Actually, he already did that by continuing the original story in his own manner. I like Tim Burton, but his most recent movies were not what I expected them to be. And tbh I'm not very enthusiastic about the soundtrack either, although I'm sure Robert will do a great job.

Good point.
Charlie & The Chocolate Factory was a shocker of a movie (IMHO).
**stick with the original, it is a million times better**
Same goes for Planet Of The Apes.
But he has turned out some real class in his time. Edward Scissorhands, Ed Wood, BATMAN.
I saw the trailer for this & it does look very good, but then they won't issue a trailer that makes a film look dreadful I suppose.
The OST does look to have an unhealthy emo contribution doesn't it?
& when I get off this stupid server & get home, I'll check this clip out.
