So many memories come flooding back on hearing this. The first time I heard the album was on the day it was released, driving back from Cardiff HMV with a copy on cassette and a vinyl version too, played loud in the car and it was awe inspiring.
First time I saw the cure live in wembley (2nd night) and those bells at the beginning of Plainsong!
On first listen to the remaster and Entreat plus I am completely hooked yet again. There will probably be some naysayers who will criticise remastering but on this occasion, Disintegration has never sounded better. The clarity of the mix is incredible, and finally we will be able to obey the command to 'TURN IT UP' without the fear of excessive bass and muddy sound spoiling the experience.
Entreat plus, although it claims to be remixed, doesn't sound that different to the original. The drums are slightly lower in the mix but the overall sound has been improved imo.
I am yet to listen fully to disc two yet, but I am planning a long walk on the beach with my faithful dog and will immerse myself in pur disintegrationx3.
I am a happy guy today
@Skuld- I hope ceho hurries back soon. The suspense must be killing!
