General rules
• No attacks on people! Posts that attack forum users (or a third party) personally or hurt them in any way are prohibited. (Don’t forget – you can hurt a person not only with words but also by giving away information that is not intended for others.)
• Obscene, vulgar, sexist, hateful, racist, left or right-wing extremist, pornographic or otherwise illegal posts will be deleted immediately and will be punished. Links in the signature, avatars, pictures or attachments are – of course – included. The forum staff have the last word.
• No advertising. Links to your own website are of course allowed. Posts that are primarily made to advertise another website, forum or e-mail address etc. are prohibited and may be subject to deletion.
• Posting of copyrighted material or links to it are prohibited. Of course this includes profile, signature and attached files as well as YouTube- or any other embedded videos.
• No profanities beyond the common point of acceptability.
• Answers to questions should be helpful and not degrading.
• The general forum language is English.
• If there are any, please read the rules for the individual sub-forums.
• Members who appear to have only registered in order to get access to the members’ section may be excluded after a certain time of not posting. If you are going to be offline for any particular reason and are concerned about your membership, then just let us know via PM or Email.

Traffic
• Threads that are meaningless or are obviously only meant to test the forum are not allowed and will be deleted.
• Avoid unnecessary posts.
• Avoid unnecessary quotes.
• Do not post the same message twice or in several forums.
• Conspicuous or senseless postings (e.g. to increase the number of posts), or postings without content, are also prohibited.
• Don’t use too many smileys.
• Avoid unnecessary blanks or putting words in individual lines.
• Threads with no answers can be deleted.
• When posting images, please resize them for web sites/ forums

Signatures
All signatures must be in accordance with these rules:
• For signatures with only text: 8 lines max of normal size, 16 lines max in small fonts (poems etc), 90 signs per line.
• For signatures with pictures: 400 x 200 pixels, 25 kb max. For several pictures in the signature picture size and file size will be added.
• Links to your own website are allowed but should only be made as an advertisement (see above).
• No links to texts or links with pornographic, illegal or extremist material.
• No links to copyright protected media sites.
• No attacks on third parties or otherwise objectionable texts are allowed.

Avatars
• 80 x 80 pixels, 40 kb max.

Starting a new topic
• Use clear and expressive titles.
• Avoid unnecessary symbols in the title.
• Before posting, please check if the question has not been posted before.
• Use the search function.
• Use colours only if necessary.

Multiple registration
• Users who register with several names may be banned from using the forum. If necessary these names will be made public on the forum. If a member wishes to change his or her username, the forum team will take care of that.

CURECONNECTIONS Gallery
• This Gallery is for your own pictures of The Cure only.
• The upload of any copyrighted or official pictures are prohibited.
• No upload of any other photographs than your own, unless you have the permission of the owner.
• Only upload pictures according to the default sizes.

Questions
• What happens if I break the rules?
The forum staff have the right to delete, move, edit or remove every message or thread. The user may be warned and – if necessary – banned. If a user is warned twice, a third warning is followed by a 24 hour ban, but this may be longer based on the scale of the infringement.
• What do I do if I find a post that violates the rules?
Please report these threads and posts to a moderator by sending a pm. The moderators will look into this.
• Why these rules?
We think that these rules are not difficult to understand. They are intended to protect the community. We have made them to avoid conflicts. That is why it is absolutely necessary that everybody follows these rules. The team of CURECONNECTIONS can change or extend these rules at any time without further notice. So we advise you to re-visit this section from time to time to keep up with any changes.
• What happens if you feel attacked or threatened by another user?
Please PM a moderator. We will look into the matter as soon as possible.

On our own behalf
This is our virtual house so we have the virtual domestic authority. That means that we have the right to ban users who violate the forum rules or disrupt the peace of this place. The ban does not only include the username but the person behind it.
Moderators and administrators reserve the right to edit or delete those posts considered offensive and those that may inadvertantly advertise another Cure forum without further comment.
We hope you understand that these measures are to protect our members and further grow our membership.

Nobody is perfect
Last but not least please don't forget that the users, the moderators and the administrator use this forum in their free-time and are only human – and can make mistakes. If you feel that the staff have made a mistake, or have not responded, then please contact the administrator directly. But do please give the team a chance to deal with your issue.
