The Cure official site, vintage or modern version?

Which version of The Cure's site do you all prefer?
Personally, looking back on the web-archive sites i really prefer the 'vintage' version because it was much more 'from the horses mouth' kind of thing. Very much operated from the band itself (well Robert and Roger anyways!).
    It was true and real.
Actually i think that Geffen absolutely murdered the site.

Vintage! 'Cos it worked for me. This new one won't let me log-in no matter what I try. UGH!

Plus that old home style they had was cool. I loved the kitchen. I was waiting for the others to share recipes but it seemed like only Robert knows how to cook.

    The vintage site for me.
The new one is a bit of a free for all & on top of that it's been hacked.

    Time they retro-graded
    Cheers.

    *snorts*

If the vintage one had the same nuts* posting on it as the new one, then I vote neither.

    I'm staying put HERE.

Hmm...now that I read his Chinese Prawn Curry, I don't think he does. He says in step 2 to mix the cornstarch and a little water and heat it. WHY?! That slurry is usually thrown in at the end to thicken a sauce. No need to heat it way before anything else is cooked. Plus in the last step he says to add cornstarch to the sauce (prolly to thicken it). So basically you'll have a pot cooking away with a cornstarch/water mix that serves no purpose.

Sorry for the intrusion...back to topic.

EDIT: Hhmm....unless he meant to make a roux (?) THEN you'd cook the cornstarch/water. But there is such a little amount it'd just be easier to add it at the end and cook it through that way. Save yourself a step.

    Yes, I'm rambling....maybe I should get lunch.

I don't know what has happened to the official site. Nobody's been able to log in for weeks. They updated the news last week when they added the Russia show, but you can see nobody has logged in because the number of comments hasn't increased at all. I suspect it was disabled because the comments on the news page and on RS's profile page had been overrun with increasing bizarre and creepy comments. Ah, well. Let's hope it's being overhauled to something closer to the old site.

I always enjoyed Robert's implications that the recipes were full of hallucinogenic substances

But yeah today's site = pants
